Intercessory prayer is the act of praying for other people. The Lord instructed us to pray not only for our own personal needs but to reach out and pray for others as well. We find an example of this in 1 Timothy 2:1-6 where we are told to pray and to make intercession for all men:
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 1 Timothy 2:1-6
A.C.T.S. is a popular model or guide to prayer. It is an acronym that points us to the Lord's Prayer and other Scripture. A.C.T.S. is used to direct us by helping us to engage in prayer with correct devotion and attitude. "ACTS" refers to Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication.
The Lord's Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer is a prayer Jesus taught His disciples in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4.
The Bible will provide biblical guidance, understanding and encouragement in your everyday life. The Bible contains uplifting scriptures for any situation you may face in life, and will guide you in your walk with Christ.
One of our commitments as intercessors is to pray in agreement for you. Every day the Pastor, First Lady and others at Agape Temple pray individually for the needs of others. You may submit your prayer request below:
